When Pixmates ask you first, what jobs cost in credits, and how to send work to your office from outside.

Approval dial

The dial decides whether Pixmates check with you before doing a job. There are three modes:

Ask
The job stops when it is ready and waits for your approval. If you approve, it runs exactly as you saw it; if you reject, nothing leaves the office.
Notify
The job runs, then you get a notification and it lands in the “while you were away” log.
Autonomous
The job runs without asking. It is capped by a weekly credit budget; when the budget runs out it falls back to Ask on its own.

Default: anything that writes to the outside world (email, message, post) is Ask; internal work such as drafts, reports, documents and research is Notify. You can raise most job types to Autonomous; irreversible ones such as refunds always ask.

Credits and “≈ jobs”

Your plan’s credits are one shared pool for the office: every Pixmate spends from it, and the number of Pixmates does not change the price.

Each brief spends a fixed number of credits from the pool by Pixmate seniority: junior 2, expert 3, professor 15 credits.

The “≈ N jobs” line on plan cards shows how many junior or expert jobs the plan’s credits cover. It is an estimate: multi-step plans spend credits per step, and image and video generation cost extra.

  • The trial starts with 100 free credits and no card; during the trial Pixmates work at junior seniority.
  • Your first 5 turns with Jeeves and the setup interview are free. Work Jeeves hands to a specialist spends credits as usual.
  • A job that stops halfway because of an error is not billed.
  • If you run out, you can buy extra credits ($20 for 600 credits) or upgrade your plan. Pricing

Connecting channels

You can send work to your office from a messaging app, and the reply comes back to the same chat. Connections live in the integration cards on your Profile page. If a card is missing, that channel is not open for your office yet.

Telegram
Create a bot with @BotFather and paste its token into the Telegram card (office admin). Then message the bot: every message starts a job, and “/name” sends it to a specific Pixmate. In groups the bot only steps in on “/name” or when you reply to it.
WhatsApp
Get a link code from the WhatsApp card and send the message from the link that opens; your number is tied to the office. The code is valid for 10 minutes. One-to-one chats only.
Slack
Press Connect on the Slack card and pick your workspace (office admin). Mention the bot or message it directly; the “/pixel-office” command also starts a job.
Microsoft Teams
Get a link code from the Teams card and send “link” followed by the code to the Pixel Office bot. In channels and groups, mention the bot.

Replies to a chat you already talk in go out without approval. The first message to someone new comes to you for approval. For now you approve on the web, on the Approvals page.

Inbound webhook

An inbound webhook lets another system (a form, a payment, an email rule) wake up a Pixmate in your office. You add one from the “Inbound webhook” card on your Profile page by picking a Pixmate and a brief.

  1. Copy the address and the signing secret. The secret is shown only once; if you lose it, use “Rotate secret” to get a new one.
  2. The sending system adds two headers to every request: X-Pixel-Timestamp (unix seconds) and X-Pixel-Signature (sha256= followed by the HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp, a dot and the raw body).
  3. The incoming body is added to the brief as data, not as instructions. Anything that writes to the outside world still follows your dial.

Limits: the cooldown you choose on the card, and 10 runs per Pixmate and 100 per office each day. Requests with a timestamp older than 5 minutes are rejected.
